how did you come to MABC? Birth

ministry passion: to see people come to trust Christ in a way that changes their lives forever.

biggest influence in your life over the past year [2005] and why: Perhaps Pastor Rob Bell (NOOMA). He sees the church and the good news in a way that is revolutionary and I believe God may use him to reach thousands with the gospel of peace and love.

FUN STUFF:
travels: Anywhere that has an ocean (where I like to go); I have only been to Mexico: Rosarito – Cancun; Hawaii; Florida; every state west of the Mississippi River; Mount Rushmore; Carlsbad Caverns; Grand Canyon; Sequoia National Forest; lots of beaches in California.

hobbies: Golf, juggling, guitar

what you do for fun: Spend time with my sweet wife; watch my boys play sports, golf, hang with my girl (Hayli)…oh yeah, and dance around like an idiot (the kids are at such a fun and embarrassable age). PLAY THE GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what makes you laugh: funny stuff…Steve Martin; Chevy Chase (those two guys could just stand there and I laugh); Will Ferrell (the long burp form Elf; and the “Perfect Cheer”)

FAVORITES:
books (not including the Bible): Da Vinci Code…I’m kidding, don’t have a cow (although I did enjoy reading it); I love the Chronicles of Narnia (especially the Magician’s Nephew and the Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe); Most things by C.S. Lewis (the great divorce, Screwtape Letters); I love reading theology stuff.

1960’s Band: The Doors

music: Rock – first and foremost Van Halen; Green Day; Boston; Eagles; I appreciate good music of all types…almost; Jazz – Miles Davis & Charlie Parker; old rap – Sugar Hill Gang – Run DMC; Mozart – especially piano concertos;

Movies: Historical Epics: Braveheart; The Last Samurai; Patriot; Gladiator; Passion of the Christ; A Beautiful Mind; etc.

tv: CSI & Funny stuff – Everybody Loves Raymond; Seinfeld; Simpsons…that’s all I’ll admit.

theatre: Phantom of the Opera…wow! Les Miserables.

website links: Research sites I guess…none in particular comes to mind.

Now, the Youth want to know:
Have you ever fallen asleep during a worship service? Many, many, many.

Aren’t you Kareem Abdul Jabbar? Yes, but only in my spare time.

Have you ever toilet papered a house? Many, many, many. My friend and I were actually known to RPD as the TP bandits for a few months before we were caught.

Would you rather have a VW bus or a pinto? VW bus…why even ask such a ridiculous question.

Do you prefer cats or dogs? Turtles or rabbits? Dogs.

What’s your favorite HS memory? I didn’t go to high school much…I’d have to say winning the trophy for “Low Medalist” on the golf team.

What kind of car did you have in HS? 1972 Toyota Celica / moped

What was your best subject in HS? (Are you available to tutor?) None, but I was good in college…history, theology related subjects.

What is something interesting about you that you don’t think anyone knows about? (Except family). I’M GOING TO BE A ROCK AND ROLL STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I’m 60.
