what can i expect: |
|
Q. What
do I do when I first arrive on campus?
A. When you enter the "A" Building under the Steeple,
you will be greeted with a smile and a friendly hand
shake. If you're unsure where to go, they can
direct you to the auditorium.
Q. What if I want to go to a Bible study class?
A. In the court yard just South of the auditorium is a
place we call Koinonia Court. You will find a
Welcome Booth where they can let you know what classes
we offer and escort you to the class.
Q. What do you have for preschoolers and children?
A. Your preschooler is invited to go to "The
Neighborhood," our preschool department located in the
"D" building. Your child will be greeted by wonderful,
cheerful people where you will register them and receive
a security tag.
Children may sit with you in the Worship service "A"
Bldg. and then go to a Bible study class ("C" Bldg.)
while you are in Bible study. Or you may choose to
have them attend Bible study while you are in worship.
Q. May I bring my new-born into the service?
A. Yes. We also have 2 rooms available in the
Worship Center: one for
nursing mothers, and one for toddlers. (Ask an
usher to show you these rooms.) We understand that
there are times when you need to keep your child with
you. Our hope is that you quickly become
comfortable leaving your child in "The Neighborhood."
We also encourage each parent to volunteer once a month
or whenever available.
Q. Do you have a dress code?
A. At Mag you will find people dressed in jeans, shorts,
t-shirts, flip-flops, dresses or coats and ties.
Occasionally in May or June you may see a High School
student sporting their Prom attire. |

The Adult Choir sings a great variety of music, including
contemporary, praise and worship,
and classical.
Soloists and ensembles also add to this worship experience. |
11:00 am
Our Praise band leads us through a time of worship with
familiar praise songs and an occasional hymn in a
contemporary style.

worship: |
Worship services are
approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes long. The
first 20 minutes are devoted to worship through music.
2 video screens are mounted in the front of the
auditorium with the words to the songs. We
encourage "a joyful noise!" In addition we often
have baptisms, videos, and occasional dramas.
We greet each other as the pastor asks everyone,
including our guests, to stand. We also have a time of
offering but we never expect or ask our guests to give
(unless you feel led to). Our members and regular
attenders give to our budget and other designated
offerings. |
|
invitation: |
|
We have a short prayer after
the pastor's message to give opportunity to those who
may want to make a decision. We also have a "Tear
and Share" card in the bulletin if you prefer to write
down your decision. A pastor will contact you if
you request it. |
|
parking: |
|
We have guest parking in the
south and north parking lots, as well as handicapped
parking. The west parking lot is primarily for
parents of preschoolers. In addition to these lots
we have a separate lot west of the grounds, across from
Cal Baptist University. |
