Dear friends, This is pastor mwandha Michael from uganda serving with a local church that was founded by three of us and as share this all the two pastors who were very supportive to my calling all have left to go and live with our lord jesus christ . This ministry is named as BEROYA GOSPEL FELLOWSHIP but the name Beroya means Berea from acts 17:10-11. I was trained by baptist theological college for four years after establishing this church/organisation . beroya is both for spiritual , social and economical development with aim of improving the stnadards of living for the needy members in our communities of uganda . Delivered "goodies" to Amy Packwood. She said she was attending the 50th celebration. Loved the church, had two very small children demanding attention, so just welcomed her and gave her the goodies. The phone number for Irvin Briggs (258-5621) is not a good number. We will try to make a delivery to him anyway. Remember, we are leaving Thursday (May 5th) and will be gone for a month. GROW Teams, Here is a letter that came to Montia recently. I thought you would be blessed to hear that your work is appreciated and effective. Dear Dr. Setzler, I am forwarding a copy of the last issue of the CBU Alumni E-news. I did put a quote from you in this issue after hearing you at the 9:30 am service last week. I was so excited about the sermon, I guess I got carried away and wanted to share it with our alumni. You were preaching about unity and maturity last week. My purpose in sending the e-news to alumni is to inform about news and events, and also to build a sense of community as I reach out to alumni that are not local. Your quote seemed appropriate as a team or community building statement. The last issue went out to about 1400 email addresses, including our faculty and staff. The number is growing......we have alumni registering from places like Istanbul and Zambia, as well as from all over the US. Mike and I are prayerfully considering membership at Mag. Mike still has commitments in Hemet and we are spending time both in Hemet and Riverside. We have been so impressed with Mag........the big cookie was awesome! We could really sense the love of the people....mainly because that cookie had so much chocolate in it!!!!!!! Hats off to the cook! It is a real pleasure to work with our group. We wrote and sent about one hundred letters and cards Thursday morning. Those attending were Elden & Shari Dryer, Margaret Coughlin, Ramona Sparks, Margie Barkley, Barbara Clyde, Smitty Palmer, and Billy Ross. I am so proud of this bunch, the Lord just blessed me by letting me work with them.

During our very first night of GROW, my husband and I wrote letters to some who had been attending, but had not joined a Bible study class. On the following Monday, I received a phone call from one of the young women to whom I had written. She wanted to know how I came to write to her. We had a long talk as I encouraged her to consider one of young married classes for herself and her husband. Upon learning that she had two small children, I was able to share with her about our children's ministries and told her that I would be the one who would care for her 3-month-old daughter during the contemporary service. Since that phone call, this young lady and her children have been consistent attenders and the mom has even taken her place as a worker in our nursery one Sunday a month. I am still hoping that she will soon find her place in a Bible study class as well.
