 online giving: blessing your church

Click logo to begin giving online.

Online Giving:

  • is an easy way to make donations or payments by check or Visa/MasterCard.

  • uses a web based system that provides easy and secure access to information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • uses industry-standard encryption servers that store sensitive credit card and bank account information.

  • is simple and all contributions are tax deductible.

All you’ll need is a few minutes to go through the initial process. Have your bank/credit card information and your offering number from your offering envelopes (if you currently receive them). You can even automate your giving!

With Online Giving you will be able to:

  • go online to give your tithe and offerings (or event offerings) by either check or Visa/MasterCard (if you get frequent flyer miles this could be a plus)

  • set up e-mail reminders for recurring donations

  • receive an email receipt as your proof of payment

  • And Coming Soon:

  • register for classes and pre-pay for books and/or materials

  • pay deposits and payments for events, i.e. camps, ministry trips, preschool-Parents' Day/Night Out, banquets…

  1. Who should give online?
Anyone, who is looking for a simpler way to assure their giving or would like to give on either a one-time or on a recurring basis.  top

  2. Is online giving secure?
Yes, it is! The security features include 128-bit encryption.  top

  3. When are contributions processed?
All contributions are processed immediately upon confirming the contribution. They will be posted to the church system on the following Monday with the other Sunday offerings.  top

  4. If I don’t write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance straight?
Your contribution is processed immediately upon confirmation or on a pre-established day, for recurring contributions, so you can deduct it from your checkbook then.  top

  5. How do I get a statement for tax purposes?
Online giving is a simple and expeditious way for you to give. All givers receive a contribution statement electronically, assuming the correct email contact information has been provided. You will also receive a hard copy at the beginning of the year from Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church.  top

  6. What if I want to cancel or change my online giving?
No problem. Log back into our secure system, click on "Make a Contribution," then select "Automate Your Giving" then edit the frequency and/or amounts of your contribution and click “Make Contribution.” Click “Stop Contributions” to cancel recurring contributions.  top

  7. Will my online gifts be included on my Statement of Contributions?
Yes, they will be included.  top

  8. Can I view my past giving history online?
Yes, once you have set up a profile, you can then access your giving history as well as make other changes to your giving profile.  top

  9. How can I get a receipt of my online gift?
You may print out your confirmation screen as your receipt, or you may also print out the confirmation email, which is sent to you. Either is considered a valid receipt. But remember, your contribution will also appear on your regular statement of contributions.  top

  10. Can I designate my gift to a special purpose?
Seven areas of giving are currently available. They are Offerings & Tithes, Building Fund, Deacons Benevolent Fund, Going Public (Donations) Missions, MOPS (Donations) and Special Missions Fund. There is also a place to type in your gift under other. Other special funds will be added later when established by the church.  top

  11. What about offering envelopes?
Envelopes are available through the church office to assist in establishing faithful patterns of giving. If you use online giving, you may decide that you no longer need offering envelopes. If so, just log on to your account and check the box for discontinuing envelopes. The key is not how we give--giving can be done in a variety of ways, but rather why - am I obedient and thankful for all God has done for me?  top

  12. What are the benefits of online giving?
You can prioritize giving in your budget. The Bible indicates giving is to be a "first" and not a last or leftover matter in our lives. Read Proverbs 3:9-10. It is easy to let our standards and intentions be compromised by the press of expenses and billing cycles. Have you ever forgotten your gift, left it at home or pledged to double it in the future? Have you had times where you have fallen behind because of travel and other schedule interruptions? Online giving provides a way to strengthen your faithfulness. You can help your church. Through online giving, you expedite your gift, simplify our accounting, and strengthen our base of regular support. You can encourage faith and faithfulness in the lives of fellow believers. As you plan and prioritize your giving, you will lead the way for others to grow and mature in their spiritual stewardship. Being a forerunner in this new area of planned giving allows you to provide a personal testimony and example for others to follow.  top
